Where the fun stops, and where out opinions differ is, my friend just spend £2100 and cannot use it for the reason it was bought. The keykey rma department Pc#I think it would make a great addition to any PC enthusiasts tool kit. I make zero profit from my youtube vids and like to keep everything on my vids totally impartial, as I do with my views on here.Ĭoincidentally I got a PSU tester on ebay recently and made a vid this morning for my youtube channel. ![]() One is a manufacturer, the other is a retailer. I have recently been approached by two separate companies about my youtube videos and am considering making some vids independently testing their kit. Totally voiding the warranty but increasing the fun. I even buy stuff and tweak it to make it better. A quick fix but all part of the fun like you say. Instead of panicking I put my Engineer head on and traced the problem to a bad 12V connection entering my speed controller. Just yesterday my fans refused to spin up on start up. I would also hate to put a price on it, as I couldn't, with all the time and effort I have put in to it over the years. As a result, I now have a PC which could never be bought on any shelf. A BSOD might look a lot scary to some than othersįor me that's part of the enjoyment, i feel like gorwn with the machine a bit, i know what makes it tic, i can diagnose problems because i've gown up with technology and am comfortable with it. For example someone who buys a gaming PC and just wants it to work would be in for a bit of a surprise, unlike consoles these machines need a bit of TLC and if someone who is not computer savvy come across a problem and doesn't understand why, where to look, where to start i could imagine it being extremely frustrating. I think some of the frustration that comes from some users/purchasers not fully understanding the equipment itself. We do spend a lot on technology and we do love it to be working strait away. I think as technology loving crowed we are quite easy disgruntled. ![]()
